The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Help people affected by disasters like the California
Wildfires by donating to the American Red Cross
Disaster Relief Fund.  On those rare occasions when
donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific
disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and
service victims of other disasters.  Your gift enables
the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling
and other assistance to victims of all disasters.  Call
1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or
1-800-257-7575 (Spanish). Contributions to the Dis-
aster Relief Fund may be sent to your local American
Red Cross chapter or to the American Red Cross,
P.O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.

National Disaster Relief Fund

The San Joaquin County Chapter deploys local volunteers
to support hurricane relief efforts across the country.
You too can help the victims of thousands of
disasters across the country each year, disasters
like Hurricane Gustav and Ike,Tropical Storm Fay,
floods and tornadoes, by making a financial gift
to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund
or Hurricanes 2008 Fund. This Fund enables the
Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling
and other assistance to victims of disasters.
The American Red Cross honors donor intent.
If you wish to designate your donation to a specific
fund, please do so at the time of your donation
by either contacting 1-800-HELP NOW or mailing
your donation, with the designation, to:

D.C. 20013 .
